Brief Description

This program provides students with project-based experiences in dental science and chair-side assisting. Emphasis is placed on procuring a patient’s medical/dental history and vital signs, completing a dental chart, and the instruments, materials, and techniques used in chair-side procedures and dental emergencies. It also covers the materials, equipment, and procedures used in a dental laboratory.
