Radiologic Technologist

Brief Description

This competency-based course is designed to provide the essential information needed by student radiographers to pass the state certification examinations in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Fluoroscopy. Along with didactic instruction, students are prepared clinically in healthcare facilities with instructor and staff member supervision.  Passing the state examination will allow graduates to work as radiologic technologists under a supervising licentiate.

Prerequisites

  • A.A. Degree or Bachelor’s Degree

    • recommended: science based major

  • X-Ray Limited License

  • Student must be 18 years old

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a proof to work

  • Take orientation and score a 9 or higher on Reading and Math Test

  • Be able to pass a background and drug test

  • Attend the Rad Tech Program orientation
